The best sale ever......if you have kids

O.k. so this is the greatest sale ever! I have been doing it for almost 7 years now. It the a children's consignment sale that is held in Sandy every Spring and Fall. It is a place where you you can sell your children's items, such as toys, clothes, baby items, kids furniture, bikes, scooters strollers...really just about anythings that you can think of. They all are gently used or like new stuff. They are very strict about what they will let you sell. They cannot have stains or be worn out. What ever you sell, you get to keep 70% and the people that put it on keep the other 30% and donate it various charities across the community. So you can make a little money, and you can shop for new things for your kiddos. I went to the Spring sale last night and got all of this for around $55.00. ( and not all of it is in the picture below.) I got the boys a bout 3 pairs each of denim shorts, and a few shirts. Abby was the spoiled one.......any surprise? She got a few sun dresses, a purse, a princess back back, some play food, some princess dress up outfits, some puzzles, books, a cute wooden high chair for her dolls, a blanket, and a few pairs of p.j.s for summer. I also got the boys, a bags of mini cars, some action figures and each of them a pair of sandals. Yep all this for around 55.00!! I wish I could have had time to shop some more, cause there was so much stuff. There next sale is in September. If anyone wants info about it let me know. I will post about the next sale as it gets closer.

Carson in his new suit...he looks so grown up!

We had quite the Easter Weekend! We had all of our family up this weekend and let me tell you it was a blast. Granted, I am soooo tired, but well worth it. Abby was in heaven with her girl cousins. She loved that she had other girls to dress up with and play in her princess tent with, while Carson, Landon with their boy cousins seemed to either be down stairs playing the Wii or outside in the back playing a mean game of hoops. They had so much fun. Every night this week they have gone to bed so good, even around 8:00, because they are so stinkin tired from the sleepless weekend. Saturday we had a Easter egg hunt. First for the kids, and then the kids got to hide stuff for the adults. It was to fun watching them get excited about us finding the candy they hid. Next we had a huge lunch/dinner, and then we all were able to go and see Carson be baptized. It was an amazing day, and we feel like we have the best family in the world!!! Thanks everyone for sharing a wonderful weekend with us.

So there was a little scare, Carson was convinced that he figured out who the Easter Bunny was. You see at about 12:30 a.m. Carson decided that nature was calling, and for some reason he was going to use the bathroom in my room, instead of the one in the hall way like he normally does. Well, I did not know this because the adults were in the living room watching t.v and talking. On Easter morning, I got up, got the video camera ready so that I could catch their reactions to their Easter baskets. As Carson came into the living room and found his hidden basket, his reply was,
"I Knew It"! I asked him what was he talking about. He admitted that he had saw these same baskets on my floor in my bedroom, when he went to the bathroom the night before. I tried to stall as I needed to come up with something, anything! My reply..... "Well I think the Easter Bunny tired to come earlier in the night last night, but he saw that you guys were all still awake and because he had a million other houses to go to, he had no choice but to leave them on the front porch". I told him that I just happen to look out the window, saw them sitting there, decided to bring them inside so they would be safe and put them in my room, so that the surprise would not be ruined, and that I put them in the living room before I went to bed, and that is why he saw them in my room. His reply....."Oh now I get it". Well, we dodged a bullet there!! Man these kids are sneaky, it won't be to long (which makes me so sad), before all the questions start coming up. Please don't grow up!

So that was our big exciting weekend. I am very busy preparing for this consignment sale that I am doing this week. I finally decided to start selling a bunch of my kids clothes. I figure why not try to make a little money off them. After that, I will be getting in the zone for my girls trip with my Mom to Vegas, I cannot wait!

The kids only have about 7 more weeks of school. They are getting excited for that. They also start baseball season the middle May. Yes they wait unitl the middle of May because they figure it might be a little warmer. Joe is super busy at work right now, nothing exciting to report on his end.....he is such a hard worker. Abby is in a play group once a week. It hillarious to have the kids at our house, because Abby just sits back and watches all the kids touch her toys. She is not sure what to do. Well enough rambling on. That is our life right now in a nut shell. Let you know if anything else exciting happens.

Day at the Zoo

So I know that our Spring Break was about 2 weeks ago, and for some reason I just have not had any desire to blog....but I am slowly coming out of it, so sorry for the late pictures. Of course we went down to Utah, and the weather was so nice while we were there, so we promised the kids that we would take them to the zoo. I think this was Abby's first time and she loved it! My Dad's birthday was also while we were there, so we had a little party for him. It was fun to just hang out and relax.

We have a very busy weekend coming up. All of my family and Joe's family are coming up for the Easter weekend. Carson is going to be baptized, and so they all decided to make a whole weekend out of it. I think that we counted 30 people that are coming up, ( not all are staying with us.....that would be insane) so it should be a crazy, fun old time. I will post lots of pictures of our fun weekend! TTFN...
