O.k. so I am not sure what the heck just happened the other night!! One minute it was as calm as could be outside. The kids were out riding their bikes, and the next minute, I saw this wall of dust coming straight for us. It suddenly got very dark outside, and we ran inside just in time. Within about 5 minutes the power had gone off and we heard this loud boom in the backyard. After the winds calmed down, we went outside and this is what we saw.......one of our 60ft pine trees had fallen right over! To this day I am not sure how it did not go through our house. If the wind had been blowing just a little bit more to the right, it would have been a direct hit! WOW We did lose our covered patio and Joe's poor little grill got demolished, but everyone was safe and we are counting our blessings today. Now, I knew moving up here that the winds literally never stop, but this was crazy! Thanks to all of our wonderful neighbors and friends for lending a hand in the clean up!!! I think it might be time to consider taking down all the trees in our back yard, that could possibly hit our house:) Just a thought

Oh Boys!!!

This is just a little converstaion that took place in our home the other night....Let me set the scene. It is 10:00 at night.. The kids are suppose to be asslep, and Joe and I are sitting and relaxing, catching up on a few shows.

This is what we heard

Carson: "Dad, um when do I start to get hair under my arms"? ( He is dead serious at this point)

Joe: "What?, why are you asking me this"?

Carson: "Well, Me and Landon are laying in our beds and I put my finger in my arm pi,t and I think I felt a hair". (Mind you he is 8 years old!)

Kim: I am laughing at this point...."Carson you did not feel a hair in your arm pit". "You probably won't till you are at least 12 or something like that"? (Like I know what age to tell him)

Landon: ( Please keep in mind that all the lights are pretty much off, and from the middle of a dark kitchen we here...) Dad... I think I might have a hair under my arm to?

Joe: "Boys you do not have hair in your arm pits, you are way to young". "Let me see then".

Carson then comes over to show us this "hair".

Joe: "O.k. I do not see anything, go back to bed we will talk about your hair on your body and where it comes in at, at a later date."

By this point I am laughing my butt off! (Are we really having this converstaion?)

Carson: " But I swear I felt something.

Joe: "Well you must have plucked it out then"

We all started to laugh, and eventually they went to bed. First off, why in the heck are they even checking for arm pit hair? Oh Boys...don't grow up to fast!!! Ya WIERDOS.

O.k. so there are two things wrong about these pictures....the first one is Abby with a black eye. I recently went on a trip with my Mom for 4 day's and Joe was kind enough to take a few days off to watch the kids. Well it seemed like they had a great time, the house was still standing, the kids appeared to have had a bath or two while I was gone, all the food that was bought was pretty much gone, and I could still see the carpet, which meant that there was probably a few pick ups here and there. However upon inquiring about the black eye the only response was that there was a collision between Landon and Abby and that is all that was said......I didn't ask anymore questions, who really knows what goes on when Mom is away?

Now this second picture I may need some help on. I have been talking up the whole going in the potty with Abby. ( She is 2 and I swear I was told by several people that girls are easier than boys to potty train.....um are you sure?) She really is just not into it yet. She really likes to sit on the potty, but only for a second, because I think she knows that if she sits down for a minute then the fun part comes next of pulling on the toilet paper, and flushing it down the toilet. The next problem is that the has no desire to really sit on the potty like a girl......you see the boys are always in a hurry, they first run in the house, and because they are trying to be fast so that they don't miss anything outside, it seems that it is impossible for them to close the door. The problem is Abby occasionally will follow them, and sees that they stand up to go pee, so why can't she? Every time she is asked to try to go to the bathroom, she quickly runs in lifts up her shirt and holds on to that cute belly button that sticks out in hopes that the plumbing will work.....she is very hopeful it will happen one day. HELP any suggestions? She also wants to wear Landon's underwear all the time. I guess it is a good thing she likes the feel of the underwear, but wants to wear the boys kind. What am I going to do with this girl?
