Utah Victory!!

This is the boys after the game with there Uncle Jeff

Moms Weekend Alone!

Well, I must say, this was one of the greatest weekends! Joe took the boys and Abby down to Utah this weekend for the Utah football game. They left on Friday and came back Sunday night. This meant that I had the whole house to my self!!! It is funny, I don't think I have ever sat home by myself since before Carson was born. Usually when Joe has been out of town, the kids were always home with me. As they left Friday, I sat and listened to the quiet, it was great! I did alot of reading and I am pretty sure I hit an all time record for taking naps. These two days were very relaxing, but I must say it was good to see all of there faces as they came through the door Sunday night. They had a great time hanging out with Joes Family, and the boys had a blast going to the game with Joe, Grandpa Bill, and there Uncle Jeff.

It is going to be a long day!

As I was getting Abby ready for the day today, she grabbed my mascara, and tried to put it on her eyes. When I grabbed it from her, and set her on the floor she was not a happy camper. Little girls are so different from little boys. She is still mad at me and it has been over an hour. This is going to be a long day! I also have some cute pictures of the boys, I will post later today!!! Days like these and miss them like crazy:)

Lunch Time

We thought these pictures were so funny. We decided to have a quiet day yesterday, since we have not just sat home on a Saturday for as long as I can remember. The boys were loving life as they sat and watched just about every football game there was on T.V. Carson suggested that we have hot dogs, as if we were at a real game, so we barbecued the hot dogs and made lots of other yummy things to eat. The boys also thought it was a good idea that they put Abby in one of their soccer jerseys and also top off the outfit with a Jazz hat. (The funny thing is that she actually kept the hat on for easily a half hour.) During one of the games Landon left for a moment to go get something and when he returned, he found Abby helping herself to his lunch!

So, I don't have any pictures to share this week. Somehow, the charger for the camera was MIA, but after asking the boys over and over if any of them had seen it Landon finally confessed to seeing it in his room in the closet on the floor. Wonder how it got there? ( It is amazing how if you tell my kids you have a treat for whoever can find something, someone always speaks up). So I will try to get some pics on here soon. Not much has been going on. We went down to Utah this past weekend for the Utah Football game Carson ended up getting sick, so Joe and I went to the game while my Mom watched the kids. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time. Sunday we were gearing up to drive home, and Joe said that he was starting to not feel well, so the kids and I ate dinner with my parents and decided we better get Joe home before it got to late. (Man there goes my nap I was planning on taking the whole ride home:) Then on Monday I woke up, and was not feeling well, Tuesday I called my Mom and she was home very sick, (sorry Mom!!!!!) and as of Wednesday we are all back to feeling better, and hope we don't get sick again anytime soon.

Before I go I just wanted to share something that inspired me this week. I was watching the Today show and they were talking about this Husband and Wife, the Nielson's, who were in a plane crash. They both survived but both had burns all over there bodies. The Husband was only bunred about 30% of his body and was said to make a full recovery. The Wife was burned the worst, with it effecting 80% of her body and she is going to need a lot of surgeries ,on her long road to recovery. They have 4 small children, and the extended family has had to step up and take care of them while there parents recover form this awful tragedy. I was touched by this story, and it made me think about my own family, Joe, the kids, as well as our families in Utah and Florida, and that we never know what will happen from day to day. I can remember when I first met Joe's family. Joe's sister Mary always said "I love you" when ever she left or when saying goodbye on the phone. This is something that has stayed with me . I never feel right unless I say "I love you" to whoever I am about to say goodbye to. This is definitely a phrase I hope my kids catch on to. I feel so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man, and to have three of the most beautiful kids in the world. They are truly my life, I love being a Mom!!! I am also so grateful that I am so close to not only to my own family, but to Joe's as well. When we were deciding to move up to Idaho, we knew it was not that far away, but the thought of not seeing our families every weekend was a hard thought. We hope that each and everyone of them knows how much we love them and appreciate them. What would we do with out you guys! I know I have rambled on, but this is just how I was feeling today, and I wanted to share my thought. Take time to stop and tell someone you love them !

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun Labor Day.
Our friends the Burgons came up to visit. We had our annual Utah football party to kick off the season with the Utes at Michigan. (oh ya, they won!!!) They have a little boy named Jaxon who is 2, and we always joke that he is going to marry Abby one day. He is so cute. Carson and Landon were just glad that a boy came up to visit and not a "smelly girl". They loved playing with him. We decided to go up to Twin Falls and hang out one of the days they were here. It was so beautiful down by the river. Well I guess all fun weekends must come to an end. Thanks for coming up and hanging out with us Cory, Tina and Jaxon. We miss you already!

We will be traveling down to Utah this upcoming weekend for the first Utah home game, and are very excited. Go Utes!! We can't wait to see our family.
