All I Want For Christmas Is.......

We finally went to see Santa today! We pulled up to his house, and Landon was so excited, but as we entered into his house, he go a little scared and gave the go ahead for Carson to go first. It was so funny to watch Carson, you could tell he was trying so hard to answer his questions, as well as trying to get a really good look at him. (He has been asking a lot of questions this year.) It makes me so sad that he does not have much longer, but I think he will make a for a great Santa's helper:) Next it was Landon's turn, he sat on Santa's lap and of course got very shy, but did rather well. I think he was glad though when his turn was over. Then it was Miss Abby's turn, and like we thought, she did not want anything to do with him. He asked her what she wanted from a distance, and that seemed to work for her. At the end as we were getting ready to leave, the boys went to sit on Santa's lap for a picture, and Abby decided if they were brave enough to do it, then she would give it a chance. All in all, I think it went rather well. Merry Christmas!!

Santa's Bells!

I had to share this story with everyone. So last night I was soooo tired, It was about 8:30, and I was just ready for the kids to go to bed. Joe was at a meeting, and I expected him home at any minute. Well about 8:45 I was in the living room with all the kids playing Skipbo. (This is our favorite card game to play.) When out of no where we heard "Santa's bells". Yes we really did! They were checking on us to make sure we were being good, and that the kids were in bed. (Funny how Joe or I are never present when the kids hear these bells, I just hope they don't catch on anytime soon.) So we hear these bells, and Landon literally froze. I thought he was gong to cry he looked so terrified. This totally took him by suprise. I looked at both the boys, and said, "Boys, we need to finish our game tomorrow, you need to get into bed! Landon said, "I am getting out of here" and he was up and out of his chair before I even finished talking. I was trying so hard not to laugh at that cute kids. Ironically, Joe just happened to come through the door just a few minutes later. We go to tuck the kids in and Carson asks, "Mom why are we hearing bells like almost every night"? I replied, "He just wants to make sure that you are behaving this year so that he can bring you what you want for Christmas". I looked at Landon who still looked like he had seen a ghost, and asked him if he was alright. He looked straight at me and said, "Mom those bells sacred the crap out of me"! I almost fell to the ground I was laughing so hard. I looked at both of them and said that there was nothing to be afraid of if they were being good! I don't think I will ever forget that face when he heard "Santa's Bells"!
Wish us luck, we are taking the kids to actually see the big guy this weekend. We will see how brave Landon and Abby are, I just hope Carson doesn't call his bluff:)

Gingerbread Houses

Grandma Grace had all the kids over this past weekend to make Gingerbread Houses. The kids had so much fun and it was neat to see their creativity come out. Thanks Grandma we had fun making the houses, eating the candy as we went along, getting a little messy and being with you!

Paging the ToothFairy!

I told Landon about 2 weeks ago that he was to not gorw up because I wanted him to be 5 forever! The other day as we were driving home from Utah he lost his first tooth. Guess he is growing up after all. He was so excited for the Toothfairy to come that around 10:30PM he came into the living room and told Joe and I to go to bed because we were keeping the toothfairy from coming.

Tub Time

Abby has this new thing were she wants to clean herself in the bath. It is so funny, she fills her bowl up, and dumps it right on her head, then she asks for soap to clean it. She is a nutty girl!

She is SOOOO sneaky!

This girl is so sneaky, and naughty! They boys were coloring last night, and Abby apparently took one of the blue markers and decided it would be fun to not only color all over the wall, but on her self as well. Luckily, we caught her before it got out of hand. I took her hand and we went to all the places that she colored on so that i could tell her that that was very naughty. For the rest of the night she kept going over and pointing to her mess on the wall to her belly and kept saying say "no no no Abby". We tried to clean her off, but I am positive that she might have a blue belly and blue hads for a couple of days.

Welcome to the Family Beautiful!

Joes sister had her Baby this Weekend. We were so hoping she would since we were going to be down in Utah. That baby must have known her favorite Aunt and Uncle were coming down, cause she timed it just right. She was so beautiful, we wish we could have seen her more. We can't wait till Thanksgiving when we get to hold that little one again. Congrats! We love you guys.

It was My little brothers birthday this weekend(ok. so he is not so little at 25, but he will always be my baby brother) We decided to throw him a bowling party. We had so much fun. Happy Birthday!!

This is Me and Carson with my Older Brother and Dad. (Thanks for taking this Melissa!)

So Carson and I went to the Utah game. Yes, they beat TCU Yeah!!! (10-0) It was such a fun game to go to. We cannot wait until November 22nd!! Lets keep it going UTES.

Candy Anyone

Abby got so sad because she thought she had lost her sucker, but upon further investigation we found it! Nobody had more fun than Abby, she was the stickiest girl by the end of the night.

Happy Halloween

Landon as Dracula and Carson as a Denver Broncos Football Player

Grandma and Grandpa "Bill" came up for Halloween. This is just as we got back from trick-or- treating. (Notice Carson is sacked out! He was so tired when it was all said and done.)

We went to a trunk-or-treat at our ward building. Man I miss the good old days of going trick or treating door to door. I can remember going with my Dad at about 6:00 and he would not let us quit till are sacks were full. Rain or Snow:)

After the kids got out of school, we decided we would have a pumpkin carving contest.

A little change in the weather!

We woke up to about 4 inches of snow this morning! By around 3:00 this afternoon it has grown to about 8 inches, and it still is coming down. Landon was a little confused though, he asked Joe if we missed Halloween. He is convinced that it is only suppose to snow near Christmas time not before Halloween. We reassured him, that he still gets to dress up and would not miss Halloween. Carson took Abby outside in the snow for the first time. She loved it. I thought she would be hesitant, but I was dead wrong. We could not get her to come inside to warm her little body up without her throwing one of her famous tantrums. Looks like we are in for another long cold winter!

Utah Victory!!

This is the boys after the game with there Uncle Jeff

Moms Weekend Alone!

Well, I must say, this was one of the greatest weekends! Joe took the boys and Abby down to Utah this weekend for the Utah football game. They left on Friday and came back Sunday night. This meant that I had the whole house to my self!!! It is funny, I don't think I have ever sat home by myself since before Carson was born. Usually when Joe has been out of town, the kids were always home with me. As they left Friday, I sat and listened to the quiet, it was great! I did alot of reading and I am pretty sure I hit an all time record for taking naps. These two days were very relaxing, but I must say it was good to see all of there faces as they came through the door Sunday night. They had a great time hanging out with Joes Family, and the boys had a blast going to the game with Joe, Grandpa Bill, and there Uncle Jeff.

It is going to be a long day!

As I was getting Abby ready for the day today, she grabbed my mascara, and tried to put it on her eyes. When I grabbed it from her, and set her on the floor she was not a happy camper. Little girls are so different from little boys. She is still mad at me and it has been over an hour. This is going to be a long day! I also have some cute pictures of the boys, I will post later today!!! Days like these and miss them like crazy:)

Lunch Time

We thought these pictures were so funny. We decided to have a quiet day yesterday, since we have not just sat home on a Saturday for as long as I can remember. The boys were loving life as they sat and watched just about every football game there was on T.V. Carson suggested that we have hot dogs, as if we were at a real game, so we barbecued the hot dogs and made lots of other yummy things to eat. The boys also thought it was a good idea that they put Abby in one of their soccer jerseys and also top off the outfit with a Jazz hat. (The funny thing is that she actually kept the hat on for easily a half hour.) During one of the games Landon left for a moment to go get something and when he returned, he found Abby helping herself to his lunch!
